At Alnowair, our dedication to empowering Kuwait’s youth isn’t just a mission; it’s our passion, and we meticulously assess every step of our journey.

Our innovative approach of Youth Empowerment through Purposeful theatre initiative adapts an interactive and experiential learning methods to empower youth and enhance their well-being. The initiative was developed and designed based on historic research findings and practical experiences learnt from the field of Positive Psychology, Business and Theatre.

During the initiative’s Capacity Building Workshops, we instill in youth vital life skills such as understanding one’s emotions, develop essential social-emotional skills, foster critical thinking & empathy, expressing with confidence, developing leadership abilities, and hone effective communication skills.

We provide safe, friendly, and fun platforms for youth where they can explore their potential, address important social issues, and become agents of positive change. All geared toward creating a lasting impact. For me, this is more than a mere commitment; it’s a profound calling, and I hold unwavering belief in the exceptional potential of our youth.

Purposeful Theatre holds the key to profound change within our youth. It serves as an empowerment tool, a catalyst for growth, and a promoter of well-being.

URC’s commitment to support Young Women Leadership Initiative is driven by our belief in the transformative influence of Purposeful Theater. URC and Alnowair share several objectives for youth, including, equipping youth with the means to express themselves, nurture critical thinking, develop crucial social and emotional skills, and cultivate empathy.

Youth represent the voice of a strong and liberated nation. Through this endeavor, we empower youth to reach their full potential, address critical societal issues, and help them become active agents of positive change in their communities.

The noteworthy aspect of this initiative is its engagement of a significant number of female students from university and schools in Kuwait for an entire year. Young Women Leadership Initiative encompasses Capacity Building Workshops tailored for female students aged 14 to 25, delivered by skilled instructors in diverse fields. The focus of the initiative is to nurture leaders equipped with the competence to lead the nation through their resilience, enlightened intellect, and unrestrained and courageous voices.

Young 👩🏽‍💻 Women Leadership Initiative

Alnowair’s Young Women Leadership Initiative Report

Young women leadership initiative utilizes purposeful theater techniques such as role play and expressive activities to provide young women with transformative experiences, helping them break free from emotional, psychological, and social limitations and reach their full potential.

Benefits: workshop participants develop leadership skills, social emotional skills, self-empowerment, self-expression, creativity, personal growth, skill enhancement, awareness, empathy, and joy. These transformative experiences foster self- confidence, effective communication, resilience, and personal discovery, empowering participants to lead fulfilling lives.

Initiative overview

  • Duration: 1 year, from Sep to Sep of each year
  • Participants Gender: Female
  • Age Group: 14 to 24 years old
  • No. of Participants: Enrollment of up to 150 participants annually
  • Trainer: Training led by our Chief Executive Trainer
  • No. of Workshops: 6 Workshops, 10 consecutive days each
  • Training Hours: Participants will engage in 20 hours of interactive learning.
  • Exercises Implemented: up to 80 hands-on theatre-based exercises.
  • Purposeful Plays: up to 10 thought-provoking plays presented by participants.

  • Trainer: Training led by our Chief Executive Trainer
  • No. of Workshops: 6 Workshops, 10 consecutive days each
  • Training Hours: Participants will engage in 20 hours of interactive learning.
  • Exercises Implemented: up to 80 hands-on theatre-based exercises.
  • Purposeful Plays: up to 5 thought-provoking plays presented by participants.

Performing 🎭 Troupe (TPT)

The performing troupe objective is to use the power of theater to inspire, motivate, and engage youth of Kuwait. By creating engaging performances based on original scripts and scenarios that tackle common social issues youth encounter, promoting empowerment and social change, and creating a platform for social and artistic expression, the TPT aims to make a meaningful impact on individuals and communities, fostering personal growth, and encouraging dialogue and understanding.

Initiative overview

  • Duration: 1 year, from Sep to Sep of each year
  • Age Group: 14 to 24 years old
  • No. of Participants: Enrollment of up to 40 participants annually
  • Trainer: Training led by our Chief Executive Trainer
  • No. of Workshops: 2 Workshops, 10 consecutive days each
  • Training Hours: Participants will engage in 20 hours of interactive learning.
  • Exercises Implemented: up to 80 hands-on theatre-based exercises.
  • Purposeful Plays: up to 20 thought-provoking plays presented by participants.

Art for Purpose 🎤 Conference

Art for Purpose Conference” is to bring together and showcase organizations, individuals, and artists who utilize various art forms to promote positive behavioral change, social impact and address important issues. The conference aims to provide a platform for knowledge sharing, inspiration, and collaboration in the realm of purpose-driven art.

“Art for Purpose Conference” aims to Raise awareness about the power of art to address social, and cultural issues and advocate for the importance of supporting purposeful art initiatives. Spark conversations about the role of art in promoting empathy, understanding, and positive transformation in individuals and communities.

The conference will compromise of 2 days

  • Day 1: Keynote speakers’ seminars, panel discussion, and opening performance.
  • Day 2: Masterclasses and Performances, including workshops, performances by different local organizations, sharing best practices for social change, networking and award ceremony.

Trainers 🎓 Academy

“Trainers Academy” conduct training sessions to equip educators with the necessary knowledge, skills, and resources, so they can confidently facilitate purposeful theater workshops at their school environment that can inspire and empower their students. Trainers Academy contributes to the sustainability and growth of purposeful theater impact in schools and universities by building a skilled and knowledgeable workforce capable of creating meaningful and transformative experiences for individuals and communities.

“Youth of Kuwait” it is digital platform (Youth for Youth) a social media page dedicated to empowering, connecting, mentoring, and advocating for the youth of Kuwait. By providing a platform for youth voices, promoting collaboration and networking, sharing opportunities and resources, addressing youth issues, and celebrating achievements, the page aims to create a supportive and inclusive environment that empowers young people and encourages their active participation in society.
